Big News in Tudortown!

It’s been quite the week for The Tudors on ye olde Interwebs!

The first order of business, I am pleased to announce that Henry the VIII will be back for a season IV! Variety has the scoop (read it here)

Our friends over at BuzzSugar are just as excited about the news as we are. They are predicating even more drama in the next season (as if that were possible!). They are also taking your suggestions for which actresses should play H8’s final two wives. Post your ideas here.

It’s funny to think about how people entertain themselves today vs. how they did it during The Tudors era. While they may not have had HD TVs back in the day, they did have some pretty b****’n tapestries.

Today, one man’s priceless tapestry is now another mans projection screen (read more here).

Personally, I’m hoping they take us right through the reign of Elizabeth I. She was a Tudor after all.

My Tudor-watching buddy and I were discussing the season breakdowns that would get us all the way through to Elizabeth I.
Season 4: Henry VIII and Katherine Howard and Katherine Parr ending with Henry VII in his death throes
Season 5: Death of Henry VII and crowning of Edward and Lady Jane Grey, Queen of 9 Days, ending with Mary Tudor’s triumphant entry into London
Season 6: Reign of Mary Tudor, death of Jane Grey, beginning of Inquisition in England, decline in health of Mary
Season 7-8: Reign of Elizabeth I
