Welcome to the Pop Tudors blog!

First post! Woo-hoo!

As you know, The Tudors on Showtime has everything good entertainment should have: sex, lust, money, betrayal, baby mama drama, floggings and other forms of post-medieval torture, lusty ladies, reigning men, and a whole a host of beheadings.

This season brings with it the addition of a rebel uprising, a saucy pirate, a mysterious wound, a bastard whore and even more exciting forms of post-medieval torture. So now, there’s only more to love.

The Pop Tudors blog will feature weekly episode recaps and commentary along with tips on fashion, romance, health and fitness inspired by those rascally royals, The Tudors.

First order of business, it is my honor to introduce you to the cracker jack Pop Tudors bloggers!

Eliza and Glennis
You may recognize them from such Internet hits as Amy at the Club or The Girl on the Other End of the Phone in Rap Songs. They are also known as, the musical improv sensation, I Eat Pandas. Eliza and Glennis will be bringing us their special brand of madcap antics in the form of video recaps of each episode this season.

Trish the Dish
Gossip girl extraordinaire, lover of interoffice video game throw downs, and all-round sunshine day – seriously this lady is like a unicorn wrapped in a rainbow, deep fried, covered in chocolate, on a stick.

The ever-charming Blergisphere
When she isn’t inciting dance offs with Trish the Dish, she can be seen panhandling spare change for vending machine fare. Prepare to be wowed by her Tudor talents and if we’re lucky, perhaps she’ll serenade us with a little Greensleeves on the Ukulele.

The Lady Micawave
Little known fact: she invented the internet. Or was, at least, was at that initial brainstorming meeting. She is also an avid soup eater who enjoys frequenting the underground karaoke circuit.

Huzzah!

We have also lined up some top-notch guest bloggers who will be stopping by throughout the season.

Next important piece of business, if you have not yet seen the first episode of season 3 of The Tudors, you can watch it now, right here! Look here it is….

WILL THE TUDORS CONTINUE INTO THE REIGN OF ELIZABETH OR END A HENRY’S DEATH?

The next step after Henry VIII is Edward, then Mary Tudor, and lastly, Elizabeth I. It would be wonderful, but say good-bye to Jonathan Rys-Meyers. Boo hoo!

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERIES THIS YEAR. THE ACTING IS SUPERB BUT THEY ARE NOT FOLLOWING THE TRUTH AS TO THE PHYSICAL APPEARANCES OF HENRY, HE WAS MORBIDLY OBESE, SMELLS FROM THE ROTTING FLESH AND SORES ETC.. I THINK TO KEEP HIM THIN AND FAIRLY YOUNG LOOKING IS DESTROYING THE CHARACTER OF HENRY VIII….TOO BAD REALLY.

You have obviously not heard of using your imagination a little bit. Why do they have to follow everything exactly? I’m sure most of the people weren’t as attractive as the actors but who would watch it if they looked like “us”?

I agree that keeping Henry thin is a disservice to the character and the viewers. Too bad.

While this website is really fascinating I would undoubtedly enjoy it more if I could HEAR it. No I don’t have the sound turned off or low. That my first inclination to check it. I also have sound on every other place I visit online.

Is there some kind of initiation process we must all past first? Does this site not work on a Mac? Any help would be grateful.

I like the new season it is true he was fat and had red hair they could of dyed his hair red and put him in a fat suit but then we couldnt see his hot body as much. I like the actress who plays mary his daughter i hope she is in the show more and has more lines and does some more movies in the future, The women who play ann was so amazing I miss her a lot . but its still a great show with the newer charachters such as the dude with the eye patch and more of brandon

Yes I miss Ann. Those seasons had lots of excitement and suspense. Big part of reformation.

I don’t mind the historical accuracy nor Henry’s true looks if this means to keep Rhys Meyers (or the Duke of Suffolk for that matter) but I believe there is more blood than one would wish to see in season 3. It would be nice to keep it high key romantic like season 1 and low key historical. Anone wishing to watch true history, please refer to the History channel. Thanks.
